Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Unit Supply Specialist to ensure the unit and soldiers are supplied and equipped for missions. You will manage receiving, storing, and delivering supplies, maintain automated systems, and schedule maintenance for weapons.

Responsibilities include issuing/receiving arms, maintaining weapon records, and operating unit computers. Training paths cover 10 weeks Basic Training and 8 weeks AIT; paid training and tuition assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting and/or typing.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Enjoy physical work.
• Interest in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Issue and receive small arms. Secure and control weapons and ammunition in security areas.
• Schedule and perform preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons.
• Operate unit level computers.
