Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Unit Supply Specialist to ensure Soldiers are well supplied and equipped for missions. You will manage warehouse functions, oversee shipping, storage and supply of equipment, and maintain documents and automated systems.

This role involves securing weapons and ammunition, scheduling maintenance, and training to become a stock control clerk or storekeeper in civilian roles. Paid training and tuition assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting and/or typing.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Enjoy physical work.
• Interest in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Issue and receive small arms and secure/ control weapons and ammunition in security areas.
• Schedule and perform preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons.
• Operate unit level computers.
