Responsibilities

• Follows established house and telephone standards.
• Prioritizes and responds effectively to concurrent requests.
• Initiates appropriate procedures for emergencies.
• Receives and relays messages from patients, families and staff.
• Maintains unit-based flow board of bed assignments, transfers and discharges.
• Coordinates admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Transcribes routine and STAT physicians' orders.
• Schedules procedures, tests and x-rays.
• Orders medications, equipment and supplies.
