Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the unit. You will perform receptionist and clerical duties, assist with basic patient care activities, and help maintain a safe, organized environment for patients and staff.

You will document vital signs, assist with mobility and daily tasks, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure timely, compassionate care. A 17+ age requirement and BCLS/CPR within 3 months of hire are noted, with preferred CNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) within 3 months of hire and maintain certification.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize duties and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and documentation skills for medical records and clinic visits.

Responsibilities

• Performs receptionist and general clerical duties relating to the patient care unit.
• Assists with basic patient care activities in support of other associates.
• Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows up with supervisor.
• Obtains and documents height, weight, intake/output, vital signs, and reports abnormalities.
• Contacts staff and assists with phone calls and patient requests as needed.
• Delivers patient mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transportation assistance.
• Keeps department areas neat and orderly and manages stock supplies.
• Documents patient care thoroughly and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
