Job summary

Beacon Health System in Indiana is hiring a Receptionist/Clerical Aide to greet visitors, answer calls, and prepare patient charts under RN supervision. You will enter orders, document charges, and support patient admission, discharge, and routine care activities.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills, with a preference for a Nurse Assistant certification and CPR/BCLS credentials. 17+ age, high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 17 years of age (or older)
• High school diploma preferred; Nurse Assistant certification preferred
• BCLS/CPR within 3 months of hire and maintained

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, patients, personnel and physicians in a courteous manner.
• Answer telephones, relay messages promptly and accurately.
• Prepare patient charts for admission, transfer, discharge, and surgery.
• Transcribe and input physicians' orders into the computer.
• Enter charges daily and upon discharge or transfer.
• Assist with patient admission and discharge processes.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, respirations).
• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision (bathing, hygiene, bed making).
• Assist with postmortem care as directed by RN.
