Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Efficient computer skills are required.
• Experience with EMR order entry and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates exemplary customer service skills and professional judgment.
• Answers phones and assists callers and visitors.
• Communicates with patients and provides information about their visit.
• Responds to patient requests for assistance in a timely manner.
• Obtains and scans patient health information into the EMR.
• Manages admissions and discharges through the system.
• Provides clinical staff with patient treatment records and logs.
• Coordinates transfer processes to other hospitals as needed.
• Ensures unit readiness for EMR downtime and data recovery.
• Orders departmental forms and supplies and coordinates equipment repair.
• Maintains department staff phone lists.
• Participates in performance improvement activities to achieve targets.
• All other duties as assigned.
