Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Unit Secretary/Nursing Technician for the Recovery Room. Duties include greeting patients, answering calls, documenting in EMR, and assisting with basic patient care and clerical tasks under RN guidance. The role supports departmental operations in a fast-paced hospital unit.

Must have a high school diploma; CNA/MA training or 6 months patient care experience preferred. 12-hour day shifts available at this location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Preferred: CNA/Medical Assistant training or 6 months direct patient care experience.
• On-the-job training and competency verification provided.
• BLS (AHA) certification at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers; facilitate accurate unit communication.
• Answer phones and process information; route calls appropriately.
• Monitor patients and document vital signs and actions.
• Prepare and assist with basic clerical duties and patient care activities.
• Support nurses and providers in sterile procedures and patient care tasks.
• Coordinate equipment and supply management; ensure unit readiness.
