Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Unit Secretary preferred.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• 1-3 months customer service experience.
• Legible penmanship.
• Knowledge of medical symbols, abbreviations, and terminology.
• Multi-line telephone operation.
• PCC Point Click Care experience.
• Fax, email capabilities.
• Answering phones, transfer calls, relay messages.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the nursing staff, including answering phones, transferring calls, and relaying messages.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records, including patient charts and medical records.
• Perform scheduling, filing, and data entry tasks as assigned by nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control standards.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
