Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Florida is seeking a qualified Unit Nurse Manager (RN or LPN) to lead a resident-focused unit with a teamwork mindset. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure high-quality resident care in line with treatment plans.

The ideal candidate has current RN or LPN licensure, 3+ years nursing experience (including 1 year in nursing administration), and a compassionate, dedicated approach to patient and family needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN or LPN.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a setting serving the same population.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing needs and supervise nursing staff delivering direct resident care.
• Assist in staff development.
• Provide direct resident care per established plans.
• Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
• Conduct and document comprehensive data collection of residents' status at admission and during treatment.
• Assist in development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring nursing staff.
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and resolve grievances with families and staff.
• Complete Preceptor Training.
• Develop and implement new ideas to continually improve systems and processes and build a successful management team.

Major Responsibilities

• Managing the staffing needs and providing supervision for nursing staff providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit.
• Assists in staff development.
• Responsible for providing direct resident care in accordance with established plans.
• Supervises Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.

• Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident.

• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and work with families and other staff, as needed, to resolve grievances.

• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results as well as the development of a successful management team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN or LPN.
• Must have a minimum (3) years nursing experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility. Minimum one (1) year experience in nursing administration.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
