Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an STR Unit Manager to oversee daily operations of the Short-Term Rehabilitation unit and supervise nursing staff. You will coordinate interdisciplinary services, monitor outcomes, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, while promoting resident-centered care.

Lead admissions, discharges, and care transitions, mentor staff, and drive quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Short-Term Rehabilitation unit.

About the Role

As the STR Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Short-Term Rehabilitation unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while promoting a collaborative and resident-focused environment. This leadership position is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary services, monitoring clinical outcomes, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or unit management experience preferred

• Experience in short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
