Job summary

The Laurels of Heath is seeking an RN/LPN Unit Manager to lead and educate nursing staff in a skilled nursing setting. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care and health education for residents.

Leadership experience in long-term care is preferred; CPR certification is required and additional nursing specialty certification is a plus. We offer on-site leadership responsibilities and opportunities to mentor a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Certification in nursing specialty desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RN, LPN, CNA and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates systems facilitating delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contributes to guest assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the development/implementation of a plan of care.
• Evaluates guests' responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rationale for medications and treatments and administers as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
