Responsibilities include assessing resident needs, developing individual care plans, administering nursing care, and evaluating nursing care. The role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Care Specialists (CNA), and other personnel, potentially including other RNs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of effective, quality nursing care focused on outcomes by utilizing the nursing process. Identify needs and contribute to discharge planning and follow-up throughout the resident's stay.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, responsible parties, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement care plans effectively and efficiently, focusing on resident-centered outcomes, utilizing all available resources for counseling and discharge planning. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals by sharing relevant information about changing care plans.
• Maintain optimal resident care and comfort by applying current nursing practices and skills.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in practicing state
• Current CPR certification; licensed staff must obtain within 90 days of hire
• Recent clinical experience or education specific to geriatrics
• Ability to maintain regular attendance
