Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people suffering from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies enable us to provide interventional pain therapy throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Clinical Specialist II, CPT in Kansas City. As a member of the clinical support team, you will provide technical clinical expertise and support of the sales process to colleagues, current customers, and potential customers. You will work independently, exercising judgment in planning, organizing, and performing work, aiming to improve territory efficiency.

What You’ll Work On
  • Providing technical, clinical, and programming support, mainly supporting 1-2 Territory Managers.
  • Assisting with after-hours call support and activities.
  • Building trust and rapport with customers and accounts.
  • Proficient in complex programming and case support.
  • Supporting Territory Managers to maximize their selling time.
  • Developing high-trust relationships with customers and regional team members.
  • Conducting PCP work and educational services as directed.
  • Engaging clients and potential clients about Abbott’s products, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Providing medical professionals with sales support, training, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of accounts, competitors, and market activity.
  • Evaluating and developing sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and product information.
  • Providing feedback to providers on device use and directions for use.
  • Attending trade shows and conferences to showcase products and network.
  • Using clinical expertise to identify training needs and increase product usage.
  • Ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting sales, training, and guidance to customers.
  • Maintaining positive communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Traveling approximately 25% within and outside the region.
Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or technical certification; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience, preferably with clinical patient interaction.
  • Ability to understand and educate on clinical data in Chronic Pain Therapies.
  • Strong clinical skills and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to adapt to unpredictable schedules and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team within a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage customers effectively and support sales activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare environments such as Physical Therapy, medical sales, RN, LPN.
  • Experience with Abbott or similar implantable medical devices, especially spinal cord stimulation.

The base pay range is $66,700 to $133,300, with variations based on location.
