We rely on and trust our Unit Manager (RN) to provide independent supervision of the delivery of care to a group of residents in a nursing unit. Responsibilities include assessing resident needs, developing individual care plans, administering nursing care, and evaluating nursing care. The role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Care Specialists (CNA), and other personnel, including possibly other RNs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of effective, outcome-focused nursing care using the nursing process, including discharge planning and follow-up
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Implement care plans efficiently and effectively, focusing on resident-centered outcomes and resource utilization
• Provide resident care and comfort using current nursing practices and collaborate with healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• Current RN license in practicing state
• Current CPR certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already certified)
• Recent clinical experience or specialized skills in geriatrics
• Ability to maintain regular attendance
