We rely on and trust our Unit Manager (RN) to provide independent supervision of the delivery of care to a group of residents in a nursing unit. Responsibilities include assessing resident needs, developing individual care plans, administering nursing care, and evaluating nursing outcomes. The role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Care Specialists (CNA), and other personnel, including other RNs.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure delivery of effective, outcome-focused nursing care using the nursing process. Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Implement care plans effectively and efficiently, focusing on resident-centered outcomes, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain resident comfort and care standards by applying current nursing practices.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the practicing state
  • Current CPR certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already certified)
  • Recent clinical experience or specialized skills in geriatrics
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance
