Job summary

Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea, MA is seeking an experienced Unit Manager - RN to lead the nursing unit. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday with on-call weekend rotations.

Compensation ranges from $46.00 to $51.00 per hour based on experience. You will oversee daily operations, supervise nursing staff, assess residents, coordinate with physicians and families, ensure medication administration and infection control, and drive quality

Qualifications

• Active, MA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• 2+ years in a clinical supervisor or leadership role.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control and patient safety.
• Current CPR certifications (BLS and ACLS).
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing unit operations, ensuring resident-centered care and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff; coordinate assignments and accountability.
• Assess residents, monitor changes, and develop individualized care plans with the team.
• Ensure accurate medication administration, infection control, and regulatory adherence.
• Address concerns, respond to emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives.

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff by coordinating assignments, providing clinical guidance, and fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure accurate medication administration, documentation, infection control practices, and adherence to state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly, respond to clinical emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications for Success:

• Active, unencumbered MA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• 2+ years prior experience in a clinical supervisor or leadership role
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols in a skilled nursing or similar healthcare setting.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written
