Job summary

LDRM, a joint venture including Lockwood Hills Federal, an Akima company, seeks a Unit Manager to lead and develop a high‑performing team on a U.S. government contract in Portsmouth, NH. You’ll supervise supervisors, conduct interviews, and ensure timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders.

You will participate in briefings and conference calls, help shape operations, and maintain compliance with security requirements while promoting innovation and efficiency across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; four years of additional experience may substitute.
• Two (2) years of progressive management experience.
• Four (4) years of analytical or information processing experience.
• Strong verbal and written command of English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
• Ability to obtain Secret-level federal security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, coach and develop Supervisors, Workload Coordinators and other management staff as assigned.
• Hire and manage a technically proficient and professionally capable staff throughout the life of the contract.
• Provide timely deliverables and performance related data to the customer for monitoring and oversight.
• Suggest process improvements to improve service delivery and performance.
• Promote innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Resolve problems with minimal disruption to contract activities.
• Participate in conference calls and video conferences with overseas posts and government agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to advance the business unit’s mission.
