Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Unit Coordinator to act as a central hub for patient care from newborn to geriatric. The role includes direct patient care tasks, serving as the unit’s receptionist and secretary, and coordinating multidisciplinary processes to ensure safe, therapeutic care.

You will support the healthcare team through information flow, operational management, and collaborative patient care across all ages, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized unit

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
• Military medical specialty training is preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA is required on hire or upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient personal care and hygiene including comfort measures.
• Document and monitor clinical activities; report patient changes to RN.
• Assist in admission, discharge, and transfer of patients; transport as needed.
• Perform equipment cleaning and disinfecting per standards.
• Maintain organized work area; stock supplies and initiate repairs.
• Verify and stock supplies; manage unit organization and cleanliness.
• Uphold patient safety; follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Support disaster drills and emergency tasks as directed.
