Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
• Military medical specialty training upon hire.
• WA CNA certification upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient personal care/hygiene and physical comfort, including feeding, bathing, changing clothes, bed making, ambulation, lifting, turning, transferring, skin care and bowel/bladder elimination; prepares patient, equipment and supplies for procedures/examinations.
• Performs, monitors, reports and documents clinical activities within scope of practice; observes and reports changes in patient condition to the RN; transports specimens and provides patient information to nursing staff for the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Assists nursing staff in admission, discharge and transfer by performing inventory, orienting patient/family and transporting patient to room or other location.
• Checks, cleans and disinfects mobile non-critical medical equipment; ensures disinfectant contact time.
• Maintains a neat and organized work environment; orders, stocks and replenishes supplies and equipment and enters repair requests.
