Job summary

The McLaren Health Care system seeks a Unit Clerk Nurse Aide on the 1 S Ortho Join Express unit. The role reports to a Registered Nurse and performs receptionist and secretarial duties while supporting nursing staff with patient care to ensure safety and comfort.

Day-to-day tasks include rounding, answering calls, assisting with activities of daily living, and maintaining patient privacy. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, a Nurse Aide training or related experience, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide training or 6 months experience as Nursing Assistant or fundamentals if enrolled in Nursing program.
• BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer.
• Medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the unit.
• Performs hourly rounding focused on pain, position, personal needs and possessions.
• Answers telephone and call lights promptly and relays information to staff.
• Assists nursing staff with patient care and daily activities and maintains patient privacy and safety.
