UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a Unit Clerk/Care Aide to join our team in a full-time day shift. You will perform administrative duties, greet patients, route calls, assist with admissions and charting, and support RNs and physicians with patient activities in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months unit clerk or similar role preferred.
• Requires critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers and routes calls, and handles paging.
• Enters nursing requests with nursing approval and seeks clarification as needed.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges; maintains patient records.
• Performs clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and stocking supplies.
• Supports RNs and physicians with patient activities and training of staff.
