Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Unit Clerk Nurse Aide for the 2 W Progressive Care Unit in Michigan. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will perform receptionist and secretarial duties on the unit, and support nursing staff by performing patient care tasks to ensure safety and comfort.

You will help maintain a clean, private, and respectful environment for patients and families. Shift is days, with a full-time schedule and daily hours from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Nurse Aide training program, or 6 months experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Healthcare facility, or completion of fundamentals if enrolled in an Accredited School of Nursing program.
• BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer.
• Medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the unit and meets communication needs of patients, family, and staff.
• Supports nursing staff by performing patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and rights.
