Job summary

Telecare Corporation in California is seeking a Unit Clerk to support nursing, clinical and medical staff with clerical and technical tasks. This full-time role requires interaction with clients served and offers an AM shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The position starts with pay between $19.28 and $21.61 per hour, with geographic differentials based on location; compensation is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED is required.
• Six months of unit clerk or healthcare administrative experience.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and EHR systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification by start date or within 60 days.
• Post-offer physicals, TB test, background checks and regulatory verifications apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and technical support to nursing, clinical and medical staff.
• Interact with clients served and manage records in the EHR system.
• Assist with unit operations and communications during shifts.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Days: Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $19.28 - $21.61. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply
