Job summary

Telecare Corporation in Santa Cruz, CA seeks a Unit Clerk to support nursing, clinical, and medical staff. This full-time role covers clerical and technical duties with daily contact to members served.

Shifts are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Starting wage ranges from $23.00 to $27.57 per hour, with geographic differentials based on location and experience. Compliance with post-offer requirements is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Six months experience as unit clerk or administrative support in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and EHR.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification at start or within 60 days, maintained throughout employment.
• Pass post-offer physical, TB test, background checks and other regulatory verifications.

• Provide clerical and technical support to nursing, clinical, and medical staff.
• Interact with members served and perform duties typical of a unit clerk.
• Assist with administrative tasks and contact coordination as needed.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Days: Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $23.00 - $27.57. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
