Job summary

Telecare is seeking a Unit Clerk for Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility in Oakland, CA. This full-time, on-site position offers shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, with a starting wage of $23.00 per hour.

Geographic differentials apply, and pay is commensurate with experience. You will support nursing, clinical and medical staff with clerical and technical duties and interact with clients served.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• Six months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Must be at least 18 years of age; CPR, CPI, and First Aid certified by date of employment or within 60 days and maintain certification

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.

Shifts Available

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Days: Wednesday through Sunday

Expected starting wage is $23.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver’s license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
