Job summary

Telecare Corporation seeks a Unit Clerk to support nursing, clinical, and medical staff. The role is largely clerical and technical, involving contact with clients served and coordination within the care team.

The position offers a Full-Time AM shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday) in California. The starting wage range is $23.00–$27.57 per hour, with geographic differentials; starting pay is commensurate with experience and meets minimum requirements.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED required.
• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be CPR, CPI, and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification.
• Post-offer physical, TB testing, background clearances and other regulatory requirements may apply.

• Interact with clients served and coordinate with care teams.
• Assist with documentation, scheduling, and administrative tasks as required.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.

Shifts Available

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Days: Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $23.00 - $27.57. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
