Telecare is seeking a Unit Clerk to provide vital clerical and administrative support to nursing, clinical, and medical staff at our Santa Cruz County Crisis Stabilization Program. The role involves interaction with clients and maintaining essential records in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.

Starting pay ranges from $23.00 to $27.57 per hour, with geographic differentials. Must meet education and certification requirements, and pass post-offer checks.

Qualifications

• GED or better.
• High School or better.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification required within 60 days of employment or at start date.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Background checks, post-offer physical, and regulatory verifications may apply.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Days: Monday – Friday

Expected starting wage range is $23.00 - $27.57. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver’s license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply
