Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Unit Clerk to provide clerical and technical support to nursing, clinical, and medical staff at Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility in Oakland. Duties include interaction with members served and handling EHR-related tasks.

The role offers PM shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with a starting wage of $23.00 per hour, and geographic differentials apply based on location. Benefits include PTO, holidays, shift differentials, CEUs, and more.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent.
• Six months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment.
• Post-offer physical examination, TB testing, background clearances, and other regulatory requirements may apply; driving eligibility if required.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.

Shifts Available:

Short-Hour | PM | Shifts: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Days: Monday

Expected starting wage is $23.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent


• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment


• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)


• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment


• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
