Job summary

ArchCare’s Continuing Care Community on York Avenue in New York seeks a dedicated aide to support residents with daily care, chart checks, and coordinating admission, discharge and transfers to hospital or other units.

You will assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking floor supplies, updating resident records, answering phones and nurse call system, and collaborating with nurses and other departments to maintain safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Checks the residents' charts for orders and need for new treatment.
• Assists in admission, discharge and transfer of a resident to the hospital or to another unit.
• Receives, unpacks and stores floor stock.
• Updates resident charts in the computer as instructed.
• Answers the telephone and the Nurse call system; coordinates with other departments.
