Job summary

ArchCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time day shift (7am–3:15pm) to plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care on a specific unit. You will receive shift handoffs, monitor residents, and document care per DOH regulations. An on-site team will support you in delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements include a current NY State RN license; BSN is preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment within a continuing care community.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Registered Nurse License.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives report from previous shift, ensuring all pertinent information on each resident is communicated.
• Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications according to policies and physician orders.
• Performs treatments per physician’s orders and established policies.

Job Description

Responsibilities: A Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the nursing leadership, is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit during her/his shift.

• Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident.
• Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures.
• Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.
• Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.

Qualifications/Education:

• Current NY State Registered Nurse License, BSN Preferred
