Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a L68 Union Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of MEP systems at the assigned property. The role involves rounds, preventive and corrective maintenance, and keeping spaces clean and safe.

The shift runs Tue-Sat from 11 PM to 7 AM. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and a trade/apprentice background is preferred; 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• License/permit for trade such as Journeyman or Master Electrician may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and control gauges.
• Respond to emergencies and report activities to supervisor.
• Complete required safety training and comply with company directives.
