Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an HVAC Truck - Based Pre-Apprentice (union) to service and maintain mechanical HVAC systems in the Wausau/Greenville region. The role is full-time with a union framework and a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and energy-saving recommendations under supervision, while adhering to the collective bargaining agreement and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of mechanical experience (preferred).
• Must be a member or willing to join the UA Plumbers & Pipefitters union.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, servicing and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
• Complete project and service documentation accurately.
• Provide solutions and upsell opportunities to improve facility efficiency.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Change and service filters.
• Oiling and greasing components, adjust or replace belts.
• Clean cooling towers, coils, evaporator and condenser tubes; general housekeeping.
• Inspect and maintain ductwork and indoor air quality-related systems.
