Job summary

FCC is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk with expertise in union benefits to join our construction team. This role administers union benefit programs, ensures CBAs compliance, and prepares accurate union reporting for multiple funds.

The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of fringe benefit calculations, experience with construction payroll software, advanced Excel, and the ability to prioritize deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Occasional payroll backup may be required.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years' experience administering union benefits in construction.
• Knowledge of multiple CBAs and fringe benefit reporting.
• Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage is a plus.
• Proficient with construction payroll software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer union benefits for multiple construction unions.
• Apply CBAs to determine benefit eligibility and contributions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly union benefit reports.
• Calculate and reconcile fringe benefit contributions.
• Maintain employee union classifications and benefit eligibility.
• Coordinate enrollments with union representatives and fund administrators.
• Ensure timely remittance of union contributions.
• Reconcile union benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist payroll backup during peak periods.
• Support year-end payroll activities and reconciliations.
