Job summary

CFS is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Clackamas, Oregon to handle weekly payroll for union and non‑union employees in a detailed, deadline‑driven environment. The role requires hands-on experience with certified payroll and strong knowledge of union wage rates and benefits.

You will manage timekeeping, payroll processing, and reporting, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and union requirements. This is a hands-on position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience.
• Construction payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Union payroll experience required.
• Certified payroll experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for union and non‑union employees.
• Manage payroll from timekeeping through final processing.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports.
• Review employee timecards and resolve discrepancies.
• Interpret union agreements, wage rates, and benefit requirements.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and union payroll requirements.
• Reconcile payroll and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records.
• Respond to employee, project team, and union payroll questions.
• Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year‑end processes.
