Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Union Support Specialist to ensure accurate union payroll reporting and fringe benefit compliance across construction projects in the U.S. This hybrid role requires collaboration with Payroll, Project Controls, HR, and Accounting teams to align with CBAs and prevailing wage rules.

Responsibilities include preparing union reports, validating fringe benefits on employee pay, and generating payroll import files to correct discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction payroll, or union payroll.
• Strong understanding of union fringe benefits, craft classifications, and CBAs.
• Experience supporting multiple unions and job sites with varying rates.
• Advanced Excel skills for payroll import files and large data sets.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with field operations, Payroll, HR, and Accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit union reports related to construction projects and fringe benefit reporting.
• Review union payroll to ensure correct fringe rates, classifications, and job codes.
• Verify fringe allocations to job cost, burden, and general ledger accounts.
• Identify and resolve union fringe discrepancies and misclassifications.
• Create and maintain payroll import files to correct fringes and retroactive adjustments.
• Reconcile union fringe liabilities and support month-end and quarter-end closes.
