Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a part-time, seasonal Banquet Server to support events from meetings to celebrations. You'll work 1st or 2nd shift and must be available weekends and holidays, delivering friendly, professional guest service and assisting with setup and breakdown.

The role requires reading Banquet Event Orders, setting up buffet tables, and coordinating with other servers to maintain a clean, efficient station during events.

Qualifications

• Energetic team player and reliable to perform in a fast-paced events environment.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take service meetings and banquet events.
• Set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
• Understand Banquet Event Orders to safely set up and break down events.
• Help other Banquet Servers set up and break down buffet or other service tables and equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional guest service with knowledge of menu offerings.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and concerns; escalate to a manager when needed.
• Complete prep and side work to maintain an orderly, clean station during events.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Position Overview:

Union Banquet Server is a part of a team that creates an atmosphere where things happen, from staging parties to business meetings. The Banquet server’s role is important to the success of the event.

Responsibilities:

• The banquet server will take service meetings and banquet events.
• The banquet server will set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment
• Understand Banquet Event Orders to safely, efficiently set up and break down events using in-room clearing and aisle tray breakdown buffet procedures.
• Help other Banquet Servers set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional guest service with genuine care. Be familiar with menu offerings in order to entice guests with its ingredients and preparations.
• Respond promptly, courteously and effectively to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns. Know when to alert a manager, should the need arise.
• Efficiently complete prep and side work to enable focused guest care and maintain an orderly, clean station during events.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
