Job Title: Banquet Server
Compensation: $18.00 an hour
Job Status: On-call (seasonal)
Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Providesguests with service by reviewing banquet event order, ensuring and verifying rooms, audio visual equipment, lighting, microphone,sound,and room temperatureare set as requested,acknowledging and welcomingguests entering theresort andevent rooms, promptlydelivering and serving food and beverages,informing banquet captain and kitchen staff of meal adjustments and/or timing of delivery, removing and serving/ delivering food courses, and refilling and/or removing glassware as appropriate.
Ensures responsible alcohol beverage service polices are followedbyasking for proper identification from guests that appear to be under the age of 30, monitoring alcohol consumption, ensuring guests do not become intoxicated followingestablished procedures, stopping alcohol service at the designated time, and clearing the room of all alcoholic containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified.
Promotesguest relations by responding toguest requests, offering appropriate up to date information regarding promotional contests and giveaways, providing requested assistance andproduct knowledge,and treatingguests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Maintains safe and sanitary banquetareas by cleaning surfaces,breaking-down buffets, beverage tables,storing equipment and supplies in designated areas, and disposing of all trash.
Ensures banquet equipment and supplies are stocked and clean by submitting supply requisitions, placing delivered water, food and supplies in designated areas,polishing silverware, folding napkins,and cleaning shelves, condiment holders, tables and counters according to established procedures.
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions
Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
Ability to carry large serving tray and tray jacks
Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull
Ability to appear for work on time
Identify and distinguish colors
Walking and/or standing for the length of shift
Frequently lifts/carries 25-40 pounds
Continual use of fine manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stop repeatedly.
May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on service area
Varied weather conditions are expected
Will work near mechanical equipment and hot surfaces
Will work with aerosol and other cleaning chemicals.
Varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
