Job summary

University of Utah in Salt Lake City seeks a Field Service Coordinator II to join UIT Unified Communications. You will support telephone services (VoIP), electronic messaging, teleconferencing, calendaring, and cloud storage for the University of Utah and University of Utah Health.

Responsibilities include configuring UC systems, advising departments, coordinating changes with UIT and vendors, and providing hands-on support for conferencing resources. This role is full-time and campus-based.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Equivalency: 1 year of higher education equals 1 year of related work experience.
• Two years of telecommunications or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, implement, and modify Unified Communications configurations (Avaya, Teams, voicemail, CCaaS).
• Advise campus and hospital departments on telephone services, messaging, conferencing, and cloud storage needs.
• Determine infrastructure and inventory availability to meet needs.
• Coordinate scheduling, changes, and projects for conferencing and wiring as needed.
• Process change requests and generate daily work orders, coordinating with UIT and outside vendors.
• Provide customer support by troubleshooting telephone systems and related resources.
