Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development seeks an Unemployment Insurance Supervisor to oversee daily UI program operations and lead the customer service center or employer audit teams in St. Paul.

The role emphasizes staff coaching, training, and performance management to meet program goals while applying labor agreements and departmental policies in a collaborative public service environment.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance program.
• Four years of experience as a supervisor or lead role with at least six months UI experience.
• Experience in UI within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Supervising staff who provide customer service, make eligibility determinations and complete employer audits in accordance with Minnesota Unemployment Insurance law.
• Managing workflows, operational activities, and performance to ensure customers are served promptly, accurately, and respectfully.
• Ensuring program goals are met through effective staff coaching, training, and performance management.
• Applying labor agreements and employment policies consistently and fairly.
• Supporting a collaborative and mission‑driven work environment focused on delivering excellent public service.
