Job summary

Emergent Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Support/CSR II to provide policy and underwriting assistance to agents and policyholders in Michigan. You will interpret rating algorithms, review endorsements, and verify coverage across multiple states, coordinating with internal teams and regulators.

You will mentor junior staff, respond to audits, and ensure compliance with company rules and state regulations while delivering high-quality customer service to agents and policyholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: associate in business/insurance with related designation progress.
• Experience with underwriting/bureau rules and policy structure is required.
• Two years in Accident Fund or similar policy processing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to policy inquiries and provide direct client service to agents.
• Analyze requests, research state manuals, and advise on coverage changes.
• Review endorsements for state/name/entity/location changes and payrolls.
• Research Bureau sites to verify coverage for entities/locations.
• Provide technical support to agents on online tools and portals.
• Train new agents and agency staff on automation systems.
