Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Typically requires 1–3 years of Property insurance, underwriting support, or administrative experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial Property underwriting concepts and policy lifecycle.
• Proficiency with underwriting, policy issuance, and rating systems; strong MS Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with high transaction volumes.

Responsibilities

• Perform policy support and distribution tasks for commercial Property lines.
• Process rating requests using rating systems and applicable rules per state.
• Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies; escalate as needed.
• Maintain documentation to support compliance and attestation controls.
• Communicate with underwriters, brokers, and insureds to resolve questions.
• Apply and maintain SOPs; recommend updates where gaps exist.
• Engage in continuous improvement and root cause problem solving.
• Participate in team huddles and support diversity and inclusion practices.
• Monitor workload against SLAs and multiple profit centers.
• Provide guidance or training to new team members.
• Participate in additional underwriting operations assignments.
