Job summary

Emergent Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist I to assist with review and entry of new and renewal submissions and to support underwriting staff in timely renewal preparation and policy issuance.

The role requires strong data entry, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within an office setting in Ohio. At least a high school diploma and insurance-related coursework are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical experience in an insurance environment.
• Strong math and data entry accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with insurance systems (policy/billing/claims).

Responsibilities

• Review and enter new and renewal submissions.
• Enter account information and exposure data.
• Process endorsements and policy issuances per underwriter instructions.
• Communicate submission issues to underwriters.
• File submissions in ImageRight and Duck system.
• Support new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations data entry.
