Job summary

The Mom Project is seeking an Underwriting Services Assistant I on a 6 to 12 month contract in a hybrid setup in Broomfield, CO. The role supports underwriting and policy processing with three onsite days per week and remote flexibility after evaluation.

You will assist in distribution of policy docs, support building inspections, and collaborate across Compliance, Claims, Product, and Underwriting to improve processes and maintain business continuity during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Insurance industry background is a plus.
• Underwriting Assistant experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Analytical mindset.
• Consistent work history; no job hopping.

Responsibilities

• Assist in time sensitive distribution of policy correspondence and legal documents via physical mail or email.
• Assist with building inspections to validate information provided and consistent, communicating non-standard or atypical findings within service standards.
• Gain an understanding of agency management, product distribution, and claims procedures that enhance growth and underwriting profit.
• Professionally communicate with relevant stakeholders via email or other appropriate methods.
• Work cross-functionally with Compliance, Claims, Product, Underwriting and other business units to develop process improvements and product enhancements.
• Provide input and feedback to leadership for continuous process improvement.
• Fill in for other team members to ensure business continuity during peak periods and/or when team members are unavailable.
