Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant for a hybrid, six-to-twelve month contract with potential for permanent hire. You will support underwriting teams with document handling, policy correspondence, and data accuracy.

You will learn catastrophe modeling concepts and collaborate with underwriting, claims, compliance, and product teams to improve workflows, accuracy, and service while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Attention to detail and ability to review information accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute policy correspondence and legal documents by mail or email within required deadlines.
• Support the building inspection process by reviewing information for completeness and consistency and communicating unusual findings promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures and service standards.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and other stakeholders regarding documents and processing needs.
• Develop an understanding of agency operations, insurance product distribution, and claims procedures.
• Work with underwriting, compliance, claims, and product teams to identify workflow improvements.
• Share feedback and practical suggestions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service.
• Provide backup support during busy periods and team member absences.
