Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 10.5-week Underwriting Corporate Internship in Hartford, CT. The program provides immersive, hands-on underwriting experience, mentorship, and exposure to pricing, risk assessment, and collaboration with senior leaders.

The internship runs May 24, 2027 to August 5, 2027, is hybrid with in-office days Tue–Thu and remote on other days. The hourly rate is $26/hour, with paid leave and potential for future full-time opportunities in underwriting leadership development.

Qualifications

• Meet educational requirements (see education section).
• Have a willingness to commute or relocate to the Hartford, CT office.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Preferred: Demonstrated leadership experience in student or organizational activities.
• Experience with coding software such as VBA, R, or Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be resourceful, adaptable, and interested in underwriting, healthcare, insurance, risk management or business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting pricing, risk assessment, and collaboration tasks.
• Participate in leadership development opportunities and training.
• Engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to learn underwriting workflows.
