Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking an intermediate underwriter in Atlanta to assess and price risks for commercial lines. You will work under limited supervision to evaluate applications, obtain missing information, and coordinate with brokers and carriers to finalize policies.

Travel up to 10% may be required as you support client relationships and policy issuance. Candidates should have 3+ years in underwriting, a High School diploma or equivalent, and a Property & Casualty license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underwriting experience required.
• Property & Casualty license required for direct client service/underwriting.
• Broad knowledge of the insurance industry and strong negotiation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and company systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and determine acceptability of risks under supervision.
• Underwrite and price exposures following rate guidelines.
• Coordinate risk assessment with underwriting team.
• Communicate with agents to obtain supplemental information.
• Issue notices, monitor renewals, and ensure regulatory compliance.
