Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting experience, including 2+ years in supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• For direct client service/underwriting, Property & Casualty licensure is required.
• Ability to manage a team effectively.
• Broad knowledge of insurance market and appetite.
• Ability to assess risk factors and ensure compliance.
• Ability to travel about 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for full-cycle recruitment, management, and development of assigned team.
• Identify, plan, and resolve workload issues.
• Underwrite and analyze new and renewal accounts for complex assignments.
• Review insurance policies as SME and provide guidance.
• Assess risk to determine price, coverage, and terms; bind coverage.
• Communicate with brokers to ensure new business flow and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal departments to execute program strategy.
• Engage in professional development and training.
• Travel for client meetings and relationship building.
