Origin Bank is seeking an experienced Business Underwriter to evaluate loan relationships up to $3 million, ensuring compliance with policies and lending laws. You will analyze income, debts, DSC ratios, and prepare cash flows and collateral valuations for loan requests.

You will review financial statements, provide written comments to support loan decisions, and build strong relationships with lenders and staff while guiding policy requirements to maximize profitability and minimize risk.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Minimum five years' experience in business underwriting.
• Knowledge of lending policies and state/federal lending laws.
• Strong financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
• Ability to interpret DSC ratios and debt service.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates loan applications up to and including loan relationships of $3 million for business purposes.
• Analyzes income and debt levels to determine Debt Service Coverage (DSC) ratios.
• Spreads and analyzes financial statements and tax returns for potential and existing customers and guarantors.
• Prepares company cash flows, global cash flows, financial analysis, and collateral valuations for loan requests.
• Reviews and interprets spreads and financial info using trend analysis and other tools for larger credits.
• Decisions loan applications for approval, conditional approval, or denial.
• Evaluates credit scores and historical payment records.
• Advises on pricing risks and loan policy requirements to maximize profitability.
