Job summary

WCF Insurance in Sandy, Oregon is seeking an Associate Underwriter for the Large Commercial Specialty Department. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, quoting new business, issuing policies and endorsements, and supporting renewals.

You will collaborate with Claims, Safety, Audit, Finance, IT, and Sales to drive production results and ensure an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, insurance, risk management or related field.
• Prior underwriting experience in commercial Property & Casualty insurance.
• Experience supporting or underwriting construction-related accounts.
• Experience with wrap-up insurance programs preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills and organizational ability
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer experience in all interactions and maintain relationships to drive production.
• Quote new business, issue policies and endorsements, and handle renewals.
• Coordinate with Claims, Safety, Audit, Finance, IT, and Sales & Distribution as needed.
• Assist underwriter with requests and prepare company reports.
