• Retail brokerage network base in CA territory is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures and structuring tailored guaranteed cost construction business.
• Underwrite General Liability, W/C and Auto coverage.
• Cover General Contractors, Specialty Trades, Heavy Construction, etc.
• Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage terms; develop and present competitive proposals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers in the local assigned territory.
• Drive new business through strategic positioning and pipeline development.

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join an A+ carrier at the AVP (or Underwriting Specialist) level and underwrite midle market construction casualty business. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures and structuring tailored guaranteed cost construction business
• Underwrite General Liability, W/C and Auto coverage
• General Contractors, Specialty Trades, Heavy Construction, etc.,.
• Premiums ranging from ~$250k-$2M+
• Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage terms; develop and present competitive proposals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers in the local assigned territory
• Drive new business through strategic positioning and pipeline development
